Plot:Placed in the contemporary city of Kolkata, capital of the Red State of West Bengal, ‘Clerk’ explores the complex psychology of an average middle class Bengali man, Biplab. He is a typist in a private firm, which is on the brink of closure. A loner, an introvert and a man of few words, Biplab leads a dual life. Once he returns to his lonely flat in a moldy high-rise building, a different Biplab emerges. He becomes an incurable romantic living in a dream world of celluloid fantasies. But fantasies do not last forever. Biplab faces an emotional crisis, and commits a crime of passion.
